Summary
Foldly is built for teams that repeatedly request documents from clients, vendors, applicants, or contractors and need context preserved across email threads and shared drives. External contributors can upload through a controlled Link Portal without creating an account, while workspace owners keep every file connected to its folder, sender, contact, and request.
Foldly separates the private My Foldly workspace from its public collaboration surface. This boundary supports branded upload requests, previews, downloads, access requests, contact management, invitations, notifications, and role-aware sharing while keeping each handoff focused and easy to follow.
Inside the Build
Foldly uses a Next.js and PostgreSQL foundation with explicit authentication, row-level access controls, storage policies, background jobs, and capability-based roles for owners, editors, contributors, viewers, and uploaders. Durable onboarding drafts and recovery-aware upload flows protect long handoffs when a browser, provider, or network step fails.
Foldly handles document automation through an auditable pipeline. It can classify, extract, compare, and recommend filing actions while recording AI runs, provider usage, and cost events. Email and Gmail ingestion feed the same workspace model, so documents arriving through different channels can be triaged and recovered through one operational path.
